According to Axios, citing informed sources, Iran has submitted a new proposal to the United States through Pakistan as an intermediary. The proposal outlines an initial step of easing tensions in the Strait of Hormuz and halting the conflict, to be followed by a renewed round of nuclear negotiations.

Sources said the proposal was conveyed to the White House through Pakistan, although it remains unclear whether the United States will accept it.

According to the available information, the proposal is intended to break the current deadlock in negotiations and prevent internal divisions within Iran’s leadership over nuclear terms.

Trump is scheduled to meet on Monday with his senior national security and foreign policy team to discuss Iran.

U.S. officials said the meeting will review the ongoing stalemate in talks and consider possible next steps, including options related to the conflict.
