Sources told Voice of Hindukush that Juma Khan Fateh, who had been under heavy siege by Afghan government forces, surrendered in Nesi district.

According to the sources, as the siege tightened and the area was surrounded from all sides, Fateh was left with no option but to surrender or face death. He ultimately surrendered to Afghan government forces.

Meanwhile, Qari Fasihuddin Fetrat, Chief of Staff of the Afghan armed forces, had also traveled to Nesi district to oversee the latest operations against Fateh’s group.

The operations launched are aimed at disarming all of Fateh’s associates and completely securing the area.
