The Syrian state news agency SANA reported that during the visit to Damascus, Lebanese President Nawaf Salam stressed that his country would not allow anyone to use Lebanese territory against its Arab brothers, especially Syria.

Sources said that he announced progress in joint cooperation in the fields of economy, energy, and security, adding that, alongside the establishment of joint committees between the two countries, a joint trade council would also be formed.

Nawaf Salam emphasized that Syria and Lebanon would seek to strengthen cooperation and political consultations in order to address the existing challenges in the region more effectively.
