Al Jazeera reports that Lebanon and the Zionist regime have signed a United States–mediated framework agreement aimed at ending the ongoing conflict between the two sides.

Both sides called the agreement an important step toward strengthening peace and stability in the region.

Marco Rubio said the agreement establishes conditions for the disarmament of Hezbollah and the withdrawal of Zionist forces.

In response, Hezbollah representatives in the Lebanese parliament rejected the agreement, calling it invalid and stressing that they will not surrender their weapons.
