Libya’s Grand Mufti, Sheikh Sadiq al-Ghariani, condemned Pakistan’s recent arms agreement with Libya, accusing the country of acting out of pure greed.

He warned that the Pakistani authorities are fully aware those weapons will be used by Libyan officials to kill innocent people and to provoke conflicts in Libya and Sudan.

Sheikh al-Ghariani condemned the deal as morally unacceptable, stating that it shows Pakistan’s actions are guided neither by Islamic brotherhood, legal responsibility, nor basic human principles.

He stated on his weekly television program Fatwa, “The decisions of the Pakistani regime are motivated by greed and profit, even when the cost is the killing of innocent people and the shedding of the blood of their Muslim brothers.”
