The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi, stated during the “Afghanistan–Central Asia Consultative Dialogue” meeting that Central Asian countries hold a special place in Afghanistan’s foreign policy.

He said that relations between Afghanistan and Central Asian countries are based on cooperation, not confrontation.

Mr. Muttaqi emphasized that Afghanistan, with its geo-economic position, is striving to connect Central Asia with West Asia.

The Foreign Minister also noted that after nearly half a century of instability, Afghanistan has now achieved real stability and nationwide peace under an Islamic system; the foundations of governance are strengthening day by day, administrative corruption has been eliminated, and work on digitalization is ongoing.

Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaqi further stated that Afghanistan is eager to actively participate in regional programs and initiatives, particularly in Central Asia, in areas such as transport, railways, environmental protection, and development initiatives.
