The Ministry of Mines and Petroleum stated that Minister Mullah Hidayatullah Badri met with the Chinese ambassador to Afghanistan, along with representatives of the MCCT and MJAM companies, which hold the contract for the Mes Aynak copper project.
According to the statement, the meeting focused on the failure to implement contractual obligations and commitments under the Mes Aynak mine agreement, with discussions held in this regard.
Minister Badri stressed that the companies must take concrete steps in accordance with the contract terms and ensure the project moves forward without delay.
On the other hand, representatives of the contracting companies assured the Afghan side that they are working to ensure steady and effective progress on the project.
