The High Commission for Addressing Migrant Issues reported that on Thursday, 1,076 Afghan families, with 5,684 individuals, returned to the country from Pakistan and Iran.
According to the commission, the returnees entered Afghanistan through the Torkham, Spin Boldak, Islam Qala, Silk Bridge, and Bahramcha border crossings.
The highest number of arrivals was recorded at the Torkham crossing, through which 4,609 individuals entered the country.
The commission further stated that on the same day, 863 returning families were transported to their respective areas, while 1,034 families received assistance.
