Mullah Abdul Haq Hamkar, head of the Afghanistan Electricity Company (Da Afghanistan Barqana Shirkah), met with officials from the Afghanistan–Pakistan Joint Chamber of Commerce to discuss the expansion of electricity infrastructure, investment opportunities, and potential public-private sector collaborations.

The Afghanistan Electricity Company reported that Mr. Hamkar noted the importance of cooperation between the public and private sectors in electricity development projects. He stressed that Afghanistan has substantial electricity potential, which, through coordinated efforts and partnerships, can play a key role in advancing the country toward energy self-sufficiency.

Meanwhile, representatives of the Afghanistan–Pakistan Joint Chamber of Commerce welcomed the initiatives to expand investment opportunities in the electricity sector and affirmed that the chamber will continue supporting projects in electricity generation, transmission, and distribution.
