The spokesperson for the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, Akhundzada Abdul Salam Jawad, stated that 205,000 tons of dried fruits were exported from Afghanistan to various countries last year.
According to him, the export items included raisins, figs, pistachios, dried apricots, almonds, dried mulberries, walnuts, pine nuts, prunes, and black raisins, with a total value of $667 million.
Jawad added that these products were exported to Iran, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Pakistan, France, Cyprus, the Netherlands, Russia, Tajikistan, the United Kingdom, China, Australia, and several other countries.
