The spokesperson for the Nangarhar Police Command, Sayed Tayeb Hamad, said that security forces in the Ghani Khel district of the province arrested an individual in possession of one PK machine gun, one rocket launcher, three Kalashnikov rifles, and one M16 rifle.
According to him, security forces also seized 14 Kalashnikov magazines and 4 M16 magazines from the suspect.
According to the information provided, the arrested individual had transported the weapons and ammunition from Baghlan Province in a vehicle, but security police discovered them and prevented their smuggling.
Mr. Hamad stated that, following the completion of investigations, the suspect will be handed over to the relevant judicial and legal authorities.
