A study published by the reputable medical journal, “The Lancet,” suggests that the number of Palestinians killed in the Gaza conflict may be significantly higher than the official figures announced by Palestinian authorities. According to the study, the number of Palestinians killed in the first nine months of the Gaza conflict is 41% higher than the officially reported numbers.

This study was Carried out using data from the Gaza Ministry of Health, online surveys, and information from the relatives of the deceased and death announcements. It is estimated that between October 7, 2023, and June 30, 2024, around 64,260 Palestinians were killed in Israeli attacks.
According to the studies there is a significant difference in casualty estimates.
