Sky News has reported that following the United Kingdom’s official recognition of Palestine as an independent state, the Palestinian Embassy was formally inaugurated yesterday in the British capital, London.
According to the report, Palestinian Ambassador to the UK, Husam Zomlot, described the occasion during the ceremony as a historic moment and a significant milestone in the relations between the two countries.
Zomlot stated, “This embassy represents the legitimate right of the Palestinian people to have an independent state and reflects the principle of equality among nations.”
It is worth noting that the UK recently officially recognized Palestine as an independent state.
