Local officials in Panjshir say the province’s almond harvest has increased by around 8 percent this year compared with last year.
According to the officials, farmers harvested 670 metric tons of almonds this year, up from 620 metric tons last year.
Officials said almond trees have been planted on 235 hectares of land in Panjshir, helping to boost the province’s almond production.
