Ahmad Massoud, the self-proclaimed leader of the Resistance Front, has recently called for sanctions to be imposed on Afghanistan; not on the Afghan government but on the entire country.

In the “Future Meetings” conference in France, Massoud explicitly stated that Afghanistan’s relations with the international community should be severed to increase pressure on the Afghan government. He made these reckless statements without considering the consequences of the sanctions, which harm the lives of millions of ordinary Afghan citizens.

Sanctions mean cutting off humanitarian aid, stopping spice imports, and reducing access to education, educational materials, and medical and health services. No one would make such an unmanly request unless they were an enemy of the Afghan people.

Ahmad Massoud proposes a path that will lead to more hunger, disease, and isolation for the people of Afghanistan. This is not politics, it’s cruelty. With this request, he proved that nothing is more important to him than his personal interests.

The people of Afghanistan deserve a better life, not more pressure. With these foolish statements, the Resistance Front showed its true evil face to the people and proved that the people mean nothing to it.

The request to sanction Afghanistan is like rubbing salt in the wounds of the people. With this demand, the Resistance Front has separated itself from the people. This stance shows that the Resistance Front has distanced itself from the realities of Afghanistan and is sitting in a Western safe space, in the arms of foreign masters, and speaking about an Afghanistan whose interests and benefits are of no importance to it.

If the Resistance Front truly cares about the people, it should defend Afghanistan in Western forums and advocate for its growth and progress rather than exacerbate the people’s wounds and suffering. The people of Afghanistan should know that sanctions mean hunger and disease. With this stance, the Resistance Front has not only distanced itself from the people but has also stood in the ranks of the enemies of the people’s welfare and tranquility.
