According to reliable sources, Tehran and Washington remain hesitant and have yet to achieve any tangible outcome in the ongoing Pakistan-mediated negotiations.
The sources note that, Iran has invited China and Russia to act as observers in the talks with the United States scheduled in Islamabad.
Meanwhile, the United States has invited Saudi Arabia and Qatar to take part in the process as observers.
The United Arab Emirates, however, has reportedly been excluded from the process following objections raised by the Iranian side.
