Al Jazeera reported that in the latest airstrikes by the Zionist regime on the Gaza Strip, the son of Hamas negotiating delegation chief Dr. Khalil al-Hayya was injured, while several Palestinians were martyred in the same strikes.
Meanwhile, Khalil al-Hayya confirmed the incident, stressing that it would not weaken their resolve, and adding that all Palestinians are regarded as his own children.
He further stated that the incident reflects the Zionist regime’s failure to adhere to international agreements, accusing it of breaching understandings, obstructing humanitarian aid, and deliberately undermining the negotiation process.
Al-Hayya also urged mediator countries to fulfill their responsibilities in addressing these violations, stressing that progress to the second phase of any agreement is not possible unless the first phase is fully implemented.
It is worth noting that three of Khalil al-Hayya’s sons were previously martyred in Gaza in 2008 and 2014, while a third was martyred in 2025 in Doha during an Israeli strike targeting Hamas leadership.
