The Standards and Quality Authority reported that two consignments of construction and electrical materials were returned at the Islam Qala Border crossing due to non-compliance with national quality requirements.

According to the authority, the rejected consignments consisted of 35,200 kilograms of black cement and 20,060 kilograms of solar equipment. After inspection, both shipments were found to be substandard and were not allowed entry into domestic markets.

The Standards and Quality Authority further stated that it remains committed to preventing the import of substandard goods into the country.
