RT Arabic has reported that the Sudanese government is returning to the capital, Khartoum, from Port Sudan after 30 months.

According to sources quoting Prime Minister Kamel Idris, the government will work to improve basic services in Khartoum, including health, education, and electricity, and strive to enhance the quality of life for the people.

It is worth noting that Sudan has been facing a bloody war for nearly 1,000 days, involving militias supported by the United Arab Emirates.

So far, over 150,000 people have been killed and injured in the conflict, more than 13 million displaced, over 21 million face severe hunger, and 34 million are in urgent need of humanitarian aid.
