Herat Governor Sheikh Mawlawi Islamjar met with Bangunj Abdullah Yof, TAPI project representative for Afghanistan, and the Turkmenistan Consul General in the province.

According to a statement from the Herat provincial media office, Abdullah Yof reported that 91 kilometers of the project route are ready for pipeline installation.

He added that multiple work camps have been set up along the pipeline route.

Governor Islamjar expressed satisfaction with the progress of the TAPI project, stressing that the joint efforts of both countries are steadily advancing the initiative.

The Turkmenistan Consul General in Herat confirmed that, according to the project timeline, TAPI work in the province is set to be completed by the end of the year.
