Anadolu Agency reported that Muhammad Abdul Salam Al-Yazouri, commander of the Khan Younis Brigade of Hamas’s military wing, the Al-Qassam Brigades, was martyred in an Israeli airstrike.

According to Anadolu Agency, the Al-Qassam Brigades confirmed Al-Yazouri’s martyrdom on Friday, saying that he was martyred in an Israeli attack on Thursday evening.

Al-Qassam said that Al-Yazouri had held several important military positions within the brigade, including commander of the Khan Younis Battalion and head of the brigade’s intelligence. He also played a key role in planning the “Al-Aqsa Flood” operation and had previously served as deputy commander of the brigade.

Meanwhile, the Israeli military also confirmed Al-Yazouri’s martyrdom, saying that he was targeted in a precision airstrike in the Khan Younis area. According to Anadolu’s report, three Palestinians were also martyred and five others were wounded in the attack.
