In recent days, the flames of war between Afghanistan and Pakistan have once again been ignited. According to credible and reliable information, this conflict has been orchestrated by a specific circle within the Pakistani military — not by the Pakistani people or the country’s civilian government. Many political and civil figures in Pakistan also oppose this war and believe that such actions serve the interests of a limited military faction rather than the nation as a whole.
This circle seeks to create tension as a way to conceal domestic failures and political pressures. Following the initial clashes and retaliatory operations with Afghanistan, in Lahore, indiscriminate shootings by the army and police resulted in casualties among thousands of civilian protesters. To cover up this major crime and tragedy, Pakistan once again launched attacks on Afghanistan, aiming to divert public attention toward war.
On the other hand, the Afghan government has the legitimate right to defend itself; however, its leaders have openly stated that they do not support the continuation of the conflict. They emphasize that their goal is to protect national sovereignty, not to start a prolonged and futile war. This stance demonstrates that the Afghan side is acting with rationality and restraint, seeking to avoid dragging the country into another devastating conflict.
Behind this war stands a secret military circle that opposes closer ties between Afghanistan and India. For years, it has tried to keep Afghanistan as a subordinate region and exerts all forms of pressure to maintain its influence. But Afghanistan’s current government, which champions the defense of national sovereignty, rejects such policies and insists on protecting the country’s independence.
The people of Pakistan, political parties, and even some retired military generals oppose this war. They have publicly stated through media and social networks that this conflict only fuels hostility between the two nations, destroys economic relations, and jeopardizes the prospects for regional peace. The growing number of such voices reveals that distrust in the military’s actions is spreading within Pakistan itself.
The government and peoples of Afghanistan and the people of Pakistan all seek peace, stability, and mutual respect. The root of the problem lies in that military faction which keeps the battlefield heated for hidden purposes. If Pakistan’s civilian government and its people do not jointly restrain this circle, the conflict will endanger not only both nations but the entire region. The only viable solution lies in genuine understanding, mutual respect, and preventing such military aggression by Pakistan.
