The Vienna meetings; a failed project that is held each time the opponents of the caretaker government feel threatened, where the majority of the notorious and rejected figures of the republic gather in the city of Vienna, Austria, to find a new solution.

The fourth Vienna meeting was held just one week before the third Doha meeting; a time when the warlords were shocked by the caretaker government’s invitation to the Doha meeting hosted by the United Nations and considered this event a major warning for themselves.

As expected, the fourth Vienna meeting ended without any achievements for the opponents of the caretaker government and brought them nothing but empty words.

According to some reports, the fifth round of the Vienna conference is set to take place less than a year after the previous meeting, on Tuesday and Wednesday of next week, with the participation of dozens of opposition groups to the caretaker government in the Austrian capital.

The holding of this meeting, like the fourth round, comes at a time when the opponents of the caretaker government are facing serious challenges and despite their countless efforts, have been unable to garner the support of foreign countries.

Trump’s cold responses and his indifference to the clamor of the opposition after assuming the presidency of the United States dealt irreparable blows to these groups and shattered all their colorful dreams; so much so that a wave of great despair and confusion has emerged among the leaders of these fronts, prompting them to devise a new plan.

Interestingly, the organizers of this baseless conference have called the topic of this session “Afghanistan after the Taliban”; while since the fall of the Republic, these infamous fugitives have not only failed to gain any legitimacy for themselves, but no foreign country has even recognized them as a pawn.

“Political unity among political factions” will be another key topic of discussion in this round of the Vienna talks; an issue that rightly highlights the significant rift among these fronts and groups opposing the caretaker government and exposes their inability to unite and become cohesive to the world.

An unsolvable challenge that began during the devastating internal wars in Afghanistan continued during the Republic and has not ended even now that they have all been expelled from Afghan society. As the signs indicate, the warlords and fugitive leaders will never unite under any circumstances.

It should be noted that this meeting, like the previous failed Vienna sessions and their other gatherings, will yield no results for them and will be nothing more than another failed attempt to gain legitimacy; because now, not only the Afghan people but also the world has recognized the true nature of the opponents of the caretaker government and will never trust them.
