The Wall Street Journal reported that U.S. President Donald Trump is facing difficult decisions regarding Iran following his visit to China, as Washington seeks to bring the conflict to an end. However, Iran is reportedly rejecting any agreement that does not include concessions on its nuclear program, calling such a deal a defeat.

Sources said Iran is refusing to limit its nuclear program or hand over its stockpile of enriched uranium, while continuing to impose restrictions on vessels passing through the Strait of Hormuz.

According to The Wall Street Journal, if a favorable agreement is not reached on U.S. terms, Washington could carry out strikes on Iran’s nuclear and oil facilities, continue maritime blockades, and intensify economic pressure.

Although military action carries significant risks, prolonged negotiations without a clear outcome could undermine U.S. defense capabilities.
