The Ministry of Borders, Tribes, and Tribal Affairs of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan has announced that, through the mediation of local officials, religious scholars, and tribal elders, a 26-year-long enmity between two families in the Gurdish area of Kamdesh district, Nuristan province, has been resolved into a peaceful reconciliation.

According to the ministry, the enmity had resulted in the deaths of two individuals from both sides and injuries to four others, including a woman.
