Reuters has reported that, for the first time, the U.S. Congress has passed a War Powers Resolution and openly opposed the Donald Trump administration’s war with Iran.
According to the report, the Republican-controlled Senate yesterday approved a measure requiring President Donald Trump to halt military action against Iran or obtain congressional authorization to continue military operations.
During the vote, several Republican senators joined the Democratic minority in support of the resolution, which was passed by 50 votes to 48.
