The British Foreign Office has announced £1 million in humanitarian aid to assist communities affected by the recent earthquake in eastern Afghanistan.

According to the ministry, the funding will support mobile health teams, medical assistance, and the distribution of specialized health kits for women.

The aid package also includes the provision of temporary shelters for families who lost their homes in the earthquake.

The announcement comes after a powerful earthquake struck eastern Afghanistan, particularly Kunar province, two days ago, leaving thousands of citizens martyred and injured.
