The United States Department of the Treasury announced that it has imposed new sanctions on six individuals and four companies, citing their alleged ties to the Iranian government.
According to the statement, five of the sanctioned individuals are Iranian nationals, while one holds Venezuelan nationality, similarly the four companies placed under sanctions operate in Iran and Venezuela.
The decision follows a recent escalation of economic pressure on Iran by the United States and its allies, a move that has significantly affected the livelihoods of the general public and business activity throughout the country.
