The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) has warned that vessels heading toward Iranian ports may face potential action.

CENTCOM stated that, starting at 10:00 a.m. on April 13, the United States will impose a maritime restriction on all vessels entering or departing Iranian ports.

According to the statement, the restriction will apply to vessels from all countries. However, ships transiting the Strait of Hormuz bound to non-Iranian ports will remain unaffected.

The command also advised maritime forces to follow official advisories and maintain close communication with United States naval forces operating in the region.
