Mike Waltz, National Security Advisor to President Donald Trump, has stated that under a future U.S. administration, American forces will not be deployed to Afghanistan.

According to The Washington Post, Waltz emphasized that Afghanistan still holds significant strategic importance. However, he noted that the current situation is being monitored closely and sees no need for a return.

It is worth mentioning that several senior U.S. officials have previously described the withdrawal from Afghanistan as a wise decision, claiming that such a mistake will not be repeated in the future.
