The US mission in Saudi Arabia has warned American citizens of possible Houthi attacks on the kingdom’s airports and critical infrastructure as tensions between Yemen’s Houthis and Saudi Arabia escalate, Anadolu Agency reported.
The mission said the Iran-backed Houthis had previously targeted Saudi Arabia, particularly civilian airports and critical infrastructure, causing civilian casualties and serious disruptions to travel.
It warned that the security situation could deteriorate rapidly and urged American citizens to prepare for possible attacks on airports, airspace closures, flight cancellations and wider travel disruptions.
The warning comes amid escalating tensions and renewed clashes between Yemen’s Houthis and the Saudi-led coalition.
