The Wall Street Journal reported in an analytical article that the United States is developing a plan to restructure its military presence in the Middle East and is assessing the option of relocating some of its bases from several Gulf countries to Israel (The Occupied Palestinian),
According to the report, satellite imagery shows significant damage to the command building, radar systems, and other military facilities at the United States’ main naval base in Bahrain.
The report adds that the estimated cost of repairing and restoring the base is around 400 million dollars.
It further notes that, alongside reconstruction plans for the Bahrain facility, the United States is also considering reducing its military presence in Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.
