Using Media to Enlighten Public Opinion

In the modern and advanced world today, the speed of information dissemination and communication is very high and powerful; so much so that events and occurrences happening in the most distant corners of the world are transmitted and made universal in an instant and a fraction of a second, capturing the attention of audiences.

In dealing with the dizzying speed of information dissemination and the daily and vast volume of various news, one can either be optimistic and easily monitor the latest developments in a fraction of a second, or one can be pessimistic and fear that with the broad platform for spreading both credible and non-credible information, it becomes very easy to destroy lives and ruin reputations.

Now, we are focusing on this positive aspect and ease of the media and using the unreserved power of this cold yet strong and effective weapon to confront and combat the ideology that seeks to create a rift in the solid wall of national unity and has no hesitation in imposing any kind of crime and wrongdoing on the pure-hearted people of Afghanistan.

Therefore, one of the ways to confront and combat the insurgents is to utilize the capabilities and potentials of mass and public media, which now provide an opportunity for optimal and precise use for everyone. Moreover, the government can effectively and beneficially leverage this tool and take wise, vigilant, and very delicate steps to confront the insurgents.

There is no doubt that one of the strong weapons in contemporary political struggles is the timely and optimal use of media and adhering to the appropriate timing for receiving and disseminating information and knowledge.

Just as the insurgents outside the country engage in media activities against Afghanistan and its benevolent officials by spreading rumors and falsehoods, and are attempting to undermine public opinion and create opposition and factions against the honorable people of Afghanistan, it is equally easy to use this created environment against them and to engage in a cold and mental battle with them using the very arrows they shoot.

As we see in the media, these people, by inciting the minds of the youth and highlighting some existing problems, are trying to cover up all the positive changes and developments that have occurred in Afghanistan during this period and have played a reassuring role.

Therefore, the capacities of the media can be utilized by employing professional and skilled individuals to create and implement programs against them, neutralizing their destructive role and destroying their efforts at the initial stage.

Just as they use this destructive and popular weapon for their own benefit and propaganda, the well-meaning officials of the country can use these resources to neutralize the nefarious plans of the rebels and stifle their minimal efforts in the bud.

Thus, the second method for effectively countering the rebels is the proper and timely use of media capacities, in which the government has more resources, greater freedom, more trustworthy individuals, and broader capacity.
