During the two decades that the Republic’s fugitive figures held power in Afghanistan with the support of NATO forces, they consistently portrayed the leaders of the current Afghan government as ISI-affiliated individuals in the media, magazines, newspapers, and gatherings. For years, they were spreading the narrative that the Taliban were fighting at Pakistan’s behest and for Islamabad’s interests and that they were taking orders from the ISI. This was while these very circles were hiding their behind-the-scenes affiliations and comings and goings and were diverting the nation’s thoughts with calculated propaganda.
But after the withdrawal of occupiers from Afghanistan, the Western puppet regime collapsed, and an independent Islamic system came to power in the country. Many truths about the past propaganda and mind-conditioning projects were revealed. It is now clear that those noises and accusations were not only untrue but were launched solely to ensure the survival of the dominance of a few treacherous and opportunistic figures.
In recent days, John Achazai, the former information minister of Pakistan’s Balochistan province, has revealed the hidden ties between these groups opposing the current Afghan government and Pakistani intelligence. In his recent statements, he clarifies that “opposition groups in Afghanistan have officially requested drones and military equipment from Pakistan.” This confession shows how much those who have called others spies and mercenaries for years are themselves dependent on the ISI for their political survival.
This is, while in recent months, Pakistan has openly begun public hostility toward the people of Afghanistan and has invaded the country’s territory several times. The attack on the homes of innocent people in Khost, Kunar, and Paktika, and the martyrdom of women and children, is the latest example of this blatant hostility; a hostility that no free Afghan can ignore.
Furthermore, it should not be forgotten that these same fugitive figures who are sleeping in Pakistan’s embrace today are not the first time they have engaged in a shameful deal. They are the same people who, in 2001, thru a shameful and blatant act of self-selling, brought forty-two Western countries to Afghanistan and paved the way for the country’s long-term occupation. Today, those same traders, relying on the same spirit of escape and betrayal, have once again turned to Islamabad for their personal survival.
With the exposure of the hidden relationships and hypocrisy of these figures, it has become perfectly clear who are the true children of this land and who are the slaves of the ISI and the implementing tools of Pakistan’s policies. Who stands with the nation, fights for the country’s honor, and is loyal to national interests, and who is willing to trade the blood and soil of their people for their own individual gain and wear the yoke of slavery.
The nation must correctly identify the profiteering and foreign-dependent figures and not allow the same treacherous circles to auction off the country’s destiny once again. The people must consciously stand alongside the government and national values, and with a firm will and complete awareness, extinguish any treacherous and unpatriotic intentions at their root.
Today, the time has come for every free Afghan to draw a clear line of distinction between those who stand for the honor of their homeland and those who have chosen to serve the ISI. For Afghanistan will only achieve true peace and regain its stability and authority when the faces of the dealmakers can no longer hide behind the mask of false slogans, seize the country’s destiny by stirring up the people’s pure emotions thru false slogans, and auction off national interests to foreigners for their personal gain.
