The Ministry of Mines and Petroleum has finalized an agreement with Kabul Lemar Company to establish a lead and zinc processing facility.

According to the Ministry, the project will be executed in three phases, with a total investment of $100 million, and is projected to reach a production capacity of up to 5,000 tons per day.

The Ministry further stated that the company will produce thermal electricity to power the factory and invest in a coal mine to ensure a reliable supply of raw materials.
