The High Commission for Addressing Refugees’ Problems stated that yesterday (Friday), 1,066 migrant families, consisting of 5,656 individuals, returned to the country from neighboring countries.

According to the information, the largest number, 896 migrant families, comprising 4,845 individuals, returned through the Torkham crossing in Nangarhar province.

Sources said that yesterday, 1,031 returning families were transferred to their respective areas, 790 families received assistance, and free SIM cards were distributed to 979 returnees.

It is worth mentioning that over the past several months, the deportation of Afghan refugees from neighboring countries, especially Pakistan, has accelerated.
