A new Navigator Research poll, reported by The Hill, shows growing regret among young voters who supported Donald Trump in the 2024 U.S. presidential election.
The poll found that 31% of Generation Z voters who voted for Trump now regret their decision. Trump’s approval rating is also lower among Gen Z than among older age groups.
The survey found that politics has particular importance for younger Americans, with 40% of Gen Z respondents saying politics is very important to their personal identity.
Analysts say rising living costs and economic difficulties could play an important role in shaping the political preferences of younger voters and may influence the outcome of the upcoming U.S. midterm elections.
