A few days ago, in a meeting of the Resistance Front in the capital of Tajikistan, Dushanbe, a verbal conflict arose between the leader of the front, Ahmad Massoud, and the leader of the Green Trend, Amrullah Saleh, who is also a member of the Resistance Front.

Sources from the Resistance Front have confirmed to the Voice of Hindukush the meeting and the conflict, stating that Amrullah Saleh’s request was for the Green Trend to operate as an independent entity within the Resistance Front. However, Ahmad Massoud strongly opposed this proposal, insisting that the Resistance Front is a unified movement and that the Green Trend should join and become a part of this front.

According to sources, the discussion between the two sides in this meeting escalated into a verbal altercation. Amrullah Saleh openly told Ahmad Massoud, “I have the right to leadership and command now. It was I who brought you (Ahmad Massoud) from Kabul to Panjshir and started the resistance against the Taliban there.”

However, Ahmad Massoud responded to Amrullah Saleh’s remarks by calling him “lowly, foolish, and senseless” and insisted that the Green Trend would never accept being an independent movement and organization. According to the source, after this exchange of harsh words between Ahmad Massoud and Amrullah Saleh, Amrullah Saleh left the meeting.

This is a continuation of Amrullah Saleh’s efforts to separate himself from the Resistance Front and establish a new front or organization called the Green Trend.

According to reliable sources of the Hindukush Voice, he has secretly allied with some dissatisfied members of the Resistance Front for a long time and recently sought to distance himself from that front. At that time, Hindukush Voice published a documented report on this matter, which led to the leadership of the Green Movement temporarily deciding to delay the implementation of this plan.
