Afghanistan’s Minister of Hajj and Religious Affairs, Mawlawi Sheikh Noor Mohammad Saqib, met with Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah, in Makkah.

According to Afghanistan’s Ministry of Hajj and Religious Affairs, the meeting focused on improving the organization of Hajj affairs, preparations for next year’s Hajj season, increasing Afghanistan’s Hajj quota, and expanding bilateral cooperation in various fields.

According to the ministry, Mawlawi Saqib said that more than 100,000 Afghans register each year for the Hajj pilgrimage. He stressed that, given the growing demand, Afghanistan’s Hajj quota should be increased.
