Four years have passed since the fall of the Republic in Afghanistan, yet the seat of Afghanistan at the United Nations and the representation of the Afghan people are occupied by someone who has neither a government nor the people behind him, neither authority nor responsibility, who neither recognizes Afghanistan’s national interests nor the supreme interests of the Afghan people. He is acting arbitrarily, doing and presenting whatever others tell him or whatever suits his whims. Faiq was sent there during the fallen republic for political and other matters, but since the beginning of his work, he has not raised even a single case for the benefit and defense of Afghanistan and the Afghan people. Instead, he mocks Afghanistan’s values and people in pursuit of his personal and party interests.

Nasir Ahmad Faiq was sent there by someone and at a time when he did not represent the people of Afghanistan himself, but was waging a joint war with foreigners against the people and nation of Afghanistan, trampling on their values, killing them, and imprisoning them. Faiq, whose conscience was awake and who had a sense of responsibility, would have resigned from this position as soon as the republic fell. However, he not only did not do this, but his personal and party interests were so important to him that he practically waged a propaganda war against the people of Afghanistan there.

He, who is either unaware of the existing realities and truths of Afghanistan or is consciously doing so, whispers the same reports and rumors about the situation in Afghanistan every month or two that the clear enemies of the people and land of Afghanistan say on other international stages. Sometimes in the name of human rights, sometimes in the name of gender discrimination, sometimes in the name of terrorism, and sometimes in the name of inclusive government, they spread rumors, exactly like other enemies of Afghanistan who raise these issues on other platforms. Unfortunately, the United Nations, due to its lack of independence and the dictates of the United States and Western countries, has been unable to hand over this seat to its rightful owner, the one around which the suffering people of Afghanistan have gathered, the one which brought security and prosperity to the distressed people of Afghanistan after decades, the one which sacrificed their lives and continue to do so in defense of the values and interests of Afghans and Afghanistan.

Faiq’s continued presence in Afghanistan’s seat at the United Nations is a betrayal and treachery against the Afghan nation. He is not an envoy of anyone, nor does he possess the capacity or commitment to represent anyone. What he says has nothing to do with Afghanistan or Afghans and is merely an expression of his opinion and that of anti-Afghan circles whose hatred of the Afghan people is ingrained in their nature.

The United Nations also needs to respect the principle of impartiality, not succumb to anyone’s pressures or demands, and hand over the seat to the Afghans themselves and the true representatives of the Afghan people as soon as possible, or at least leave it empty and not hand it over to elements against the Afghan people and Afghanistan. Otherwise, this will not only call into question the impartiality of the United Nations but will also be a dark and shameful act in the UN’s history that will be inherited by future generations.

Afghanistan is now experiencing new realities; Afghans are now in a different and better situation than before. They can represent themselves thru their true representatives. They have their own system, their own geography, their own values, their own national interests, and they have their own voice and opinion as an active and important country in the international community, which should be conveyed to the world from this position thru the words of their true representative.
