Afghanistan’s national power company, Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat, has announced that construction work on the CASA-1000 project is advancing rapidly in all three phases.
According to the company, CASA-1000 is one of the region’s largest and most strategic electricity projects, with a total transmission capacity of 1,300 megawatts.
The project will transmit electricity from Central Asia to South Asia through Afghanistan.
The company stated that the CASA-1000 project will generate nearly $60 million in annual revenue for Afghanistan, while also playing a vital role in strengthening regional economic stability and enhancing energy cooperation among participating countries.
