Construction has begun on a new general hospital in Shamulzu district of Zabul province under a project valued at 48 million Afghanis.

According to the Ministry of Public Health, Minister Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali laid the foundation stone for the hospital during his visit to Zabul province, officially launching the construction project.

Addressing the inauguration ceremony, Mawlawi Jalali instructed the contractor to maintain high construction quality and comply with professional standards at every stage of the project. He also stressed that the hospital must be completed within the agreed timeframe and in accordance with the contract.

The Ministry of Public Health said the construction of the Shamulzu District General Hospital is scheduled to be completed within 18 months.
