According to a report by The Wall Street Journal, U.S. President Donald Trump has ordered the U.S. military to carry out new and more extensive strikes against Iran, with the operations reportedly scheduled to begin by the end of this week.
The report states that Trump approved the new military plan during a meeting with senior members of his administration at Camp David.
At the same time, the report adds that if significant progress is made on the diplomatic front, Trump may postpone the planned strikes or reconsider the decision to carry them out.
