The Ministry of Urban Development and Housing has warned that investors in Sabz Industrial Park, part of the New Kabul City project, will have their contracts terminated and their land reassigned if they fail to build factories on their allocated plots or pay their outstanding installments.

The ministry said Minister Mawlawi Najibullah Hayat Haqqani issued the warning during a meeting with investors in the industrial park. He acknowledged that the park had faced several challenges under previous administrations but said the necessary steps had been taken to address them. He added that investment in the park was now progressing significantly.

Mawlawi Haqqani urged investors who had acquired land but had yet to begin industrial operations or pay their remaining installments to fulfill their contractual obligations. He said the decision aims to ensure the effective use of industrial land, accelerate investment and expand industrial production.

Meanwhile, investors called for reliable electricity supplies, road construction and improvements to other essential services to support the park’s development and expand industrial activity. They also expressed appreciation for the ministry’s efforts to improve services and prepare and implement a revised development plan for the industrial park.
