According to Middle East Newspaper, German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul, who is currently visiting Israel, has warned that the country is facing a serious risk of global isolation due to the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza.
Speaking to journalists, Wadephul stated, “Israel must always have friends, partners, and supporters on the global stage; however, that support is now under serious threat.”
He added that if any country bears the responsibility to help prevent such isolation, it is Germany. He emphasized that Berlin is making every effort to shield Israel from further diplomatic fallout.
Wadephul arrived in Israel yesterday afternoon and met with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Foreign Minister Yisrael Katz. He is scheduled to travel to the West Bank today for further discussions regarding the humanitarian situation in Gaza.
The German foreign minister’s warning comes amid mounting international criticism of the Zionist regime, which has faced growing isolation over its actions in Gaza, including allegations of war crimes and ongoing civilian casualties.
Meanwhile, international efforts to formally recognize Palestine have gained momentum. These developments are increasingly viewed as signaling heightened diplomatic pressure on the Zionist regime.
