Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock, Attaullah Omari, met with India’s Embassy Chargé d’Affaires, Karan Yadav, in Kabul.
According to a statement from the ministry, the meeting focused on agriculture, irrigation, livestock, the export of agricultural products, and the import of mechanized farming equipment.
The statement noted that Minister Omari underscored the importance of researching climate-resilient crops to address the effects of climate change.
The statement added that India’s Chargé d’Affaires pledged his country would establish a research center in Afghanistan called “Afghan-Hindu.”
The minister also urged India to ease visa procedures for Afghan traders.
