Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters warned late Tuesday that any U.S. attack on the underground Pikakas nuclear facility would be regarded as an expansion of the conflict, saying Tehran would respond by targeting U.S. interests, allies, and supporters throughout the region.
The warning came after U.S. President Donald Trump said Washington would soon launch a strike on Iran’s underground Pikakas nuclear site.
Meanwhile, the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) said it had carried out an 11th consecutive night of strikes against Iranian military targets.
The U.S. military said the operations are intended to further undermine Iran’s ability to threaten commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.
Iranian media, meanwhile, reported that explosions were heard overnight in Tehran, Bushehr, Mahshahr, Omidiyeh, Sirik, and several other locations following the U.S. strikes.
