Iranian media report that Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei has instructed the country’s armed forces to respond immediately and forcefully to any new attack by the United States or Israel.
During a meeting with Iran’s three senior military commanders, Khamenei called for full combat readiness, stressing that any threat must be met with an effective and decisive response, regardless of its location.
“If the enemy launches military or terrorist attacks again, Iran’s armed forces and its people will determine when and under what conditions the conflict ends,” he said.
According to reports, this was the first meeting since the start of the war in which all three of Iran’s senior military commanders gathered with Khamenei.
He also instructed military leaders to update their target lists and include all physical and non-physical assets linked to the United States and Israel as potential targets for Iranian forces.
Khamenei further called for stronger military intelligence, expanded domestic defense capabilities and the adoption of new technologies within the country’s security infrastructure.
The meeting was attended by Major General Ali Abdollahi, Chief of Staff of Iran’s Armed Forces; Major General Amir Hatami, Commander of the Iranian Army; and Major General Ahmad Vahidi, Commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
The commanders briefed Khamenei on military readiness along Iran’s Persian Gulf coastline, around the Strait of Hormuz and the Sea of Oman, as well as along the country’s northwestern and southeastern borders.
