Tasnim News Agency has reported that the naval forces of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said a large oil tanker attempting to pass through the southern part of the Strait of Hormuz caught fire after striking two naval mines and was completely immobilized.
According to Tasnim News Agency, the IRGC Navy claimed that the vessel had attempted to pass through a designated route in violation of the security regulations of the Strait of Hormuz.
The IRGC warned that vessels failing to comply with the security regulations of the Strait of Hormuz would face a similar fate, and called on ships and boats to adhere to the regulations.
