Al Jazeera reported that the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced it carried out attacks on U.S. military installations in Bahrain, Kuwait, and Jordan, in response to U.S. strikes on Iranian ports and islands in the Strait of Hormuz.

According to a statement published by Iranian state media on Wednesday, the IRGC said it carried out drone strikes targeting the U.S. Fifth Fleet in Bahrain and Ali al-Salem Air Base in Kuwait, and also launched a long-range missile strike on an airbase in Azraq, Jordan.

The attacks came after U.S. accusations that Iran was responsible for downing its helicopter in the Strait of Hormuz, followed by overnight U.S. strikes on Iran.
